The Texas Police Athletic Federation Board of Directors and Staff would like to welcome each and every one of you to the 2026 Texas Police Games.
South Padre Island Police Department and the South Padre Island Convention & Visitors Bureau will be hosting the 2026 Texas Police Games. The Games will be held starting on Sunday May 31st with Cycling – Bike Obstacle Course, Body Building, Billiards, Disc Golf and Motorcycle Rodeo.
South Padre Island has some special events planned for this years games which will include entertainment for both the competitors, their families and guests
This will be the 50th Anniversary of the TEXAS POLICE ATHLETIC FEDERATION – TEXAS POLICE GAMES.
The first Texas Police Recruit Championships were conducted in Dallas in April of 1975. It was repeated in Austin in January 1976 and in Ft. Worth in December 1976.
In 1976 The T.P.A.F. was chartered and received original funding through contributions made by the Dallas Police Association and the Texas Department of Public Safety Officers Association. The T.P.A.F. was established to foster physical fitness and comradeship among Peace Officers in the State of Texas, thus the Texas Police Olympics were established and was later forced to change to the Texas Police Games.
Early registration will open on February 9th, 2026 – and close on March 8th, 2026 at 5:45 am so get registered early and save some dollars.
Regular Registration will start on March 8th, 2026 – and close on May 10th, 2026 at 5:45 am.
MUST register before May 10th for T-Shirts
Late Registration will start on May 10th, 2026 – and close on May 25th, 2026 at 6:00 pm
All Registration will close on May 25th, 2026 at 6:00 pm
On-Site Registration will be $100.00 for primary event and $20.00 for each additional event, with exceptions for local agencies.
Registration Check-in will start on Saturday May 30th, 2026 at 12:00 (Noon) especially for competitors with events starting on Sunday May 31st.

Thursday June 4th, 2026 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
Friday June 5th, 2026 7:00 am – 12:00 (Noon)

Thanks to all of you for your continued support and participation in the Texas Police Games.
Spread the word and bring your friends and family, we are going to have FUN and a large turn-out.
As I promised you, there will be changes coming up for future games, make sure you pay attention to the registration forms (READ IT). We are also open to suggestions for new events, and improvements.
The following forms will be used:
Individual Registration Form (for all individual events, including bowling doubles and team, tennis, racquetball, billiards, Bass Tournament, Corn Hole, etc.)
Coach or Managers TEAM REGISTRATION Form (for Flag Football, Softball, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball)
Coach or Managers Team Roster Form (for Flag Football, Softball, Soccer, Basketball, and Volleyball)
Team Member Form (for Flag Football, Softball, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball) EVERY Team Member including Coach and/or manager must complete the TEAM MEMBER REGISTRATION FORM.
